Studied under Robert Stockfis, Trinity College of Music, Manchester, England. 1976-1978

Received First Prize from the British Federation of Music, Classical Guitar Competition, Manchester, England. 1978.

At a subsequent meeting with Andres Segovia, Marc was urged by the Maestro to "Continue Studies!"

Graduated Clifton College, Bristol, England. 1982 Emigrated to the United states to study under John Sutherland, Georgia State University, Atlanta, Georgia. 1983-1985 Marc has been playing and teaching in Atlanta since 1986. He has performed music for corporate events, receptions, cocktail parties and wedding ceremonies.

In 2009-2010 Marc has played in England, Hungary, Greece, Austria, The Netherlands, Spain, Ireland and Italy.
The guitar is one of the few instruments that "cross" all musical barriers and Mr. Unger plays to extremely varied audiences. As well as the standard classical and baroque repertoire, Marc has a special interest in Spanish and Latin American composers.
Recently interviewed on Atlanta radio, his music was described as "Hauntingly Beautiful!"
